PMV 50.Y Moisture Analyzer 50g x 0.1mg offers an advanced solution for measurement of water content of samples with high moisture content up to 100%. It utilizes microwaves for accelerated evaporation of moisture from the entirety of the sample, thereby significantly reducing the drying time when compared to conventional devices.

The sample is placed onto a glass fiber filter in the drying chamber. Microwaves are emitted from the waveguide at the bottom of the chamber, distributing heat evenly over the surface of the filter to dry the sample and thus obtain the moisture content based on the mass loss observed. A suitable drying program is picked based on the mass and chemical components of the sample. Typical drying time ranges from 1 to 10 minutes, whereas traditional halogen moisture analysis requires 5 to 40 minutes.

PMV 50.5Y features a temperature sensor, presenting microwave power as a percentage on the indicator to reliably avoid boiling during the drying process.

PMV 50.5Y moisture analyzer utilizes a sophisticated Y series system designed for laboratory balances with enhanced 16 GB memory for saving detailed reports and time/statistical graphs. Wi-Fi® connects the analyzer with mobile devices and a 10’’ touch screen facilitates efficient operation, while proximity sensors allow for touch-free access to user-defined functions.
For each purchase of the PMV 50.5Y moisture analyzer the customer is supplied with:
  • 60 glass fibre filters of ø90 mm
  • a sample of sodium chloride 10% ± 0,5% to determine correctness of the operation at the workstation
  • a service concerning determination of drying parameters for five customer-selected samples carried out by RADWAG employee
