Coloured blue. A special anhydrous calcium sulfate used as a dehydrating agent in carbon analysis, or as an all purpose desiccant for drying solids, liquids and gases. It can be regenerated repeatedly by heating to 225°C. Colour changes to rose-red indicating when regeneration is necessary.
